With reference to the browsing experience on this website, portal and/or platform (hereinafter also referred to simply as the "website"), the Comitato Italiano One Water processes the following data:

Browsing Data

The IT systems and software procedures used to operate this website collect, in the course of their normal operation and for the duration of the connection, certain data whose transmission is inherent in the use of Internet communication protocols.

This information is not collected for the purpose of being associated with individual users; however, by its very nature, it could - through processing and association with data held by the Controller or third parties - allow users to be identified. This data is deleted within a few hours of processing.

This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users connecting to the website, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numeric code indicating the status of the response from the server (success, error, etc.), and other parameters relating to the user's operating system and IT environment.

This data may be used by the Controller solely for the purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on website usage, in order to identify the pages most frequently visited and thus provide increasingly relevant content, as well as to monitor the proper functioning of the website. The data may also be used to establish liability in the event of hypothetical cybercrimes against the website.

Data will not be disclosed to the public, but may be communicated, where necessary for the provision of services or the conduct of activities, to companies performing technical or organisational tasks instrumental to the provision of the requested services, as further specified in the specific notices relating to individual services/events.

Following registration for the requested Service, should you wish to request or use other Services or activities provided, you may use the credentials (username/email/password) already used for your first registration.

Information Notice on the Processing of Personal Data pursuant to Arts. 13 and 14 of EU Regulation 679/2016

We hereby inform you, pursuant to Arts. 13 and 14 of EU Regulation 679/2016 "on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data" (hereinafter the "Regulation"), that the processing of data provided by you, or collected in the course of our activities, will be carried out in accordance with the principles of fairness, lawfulness and transparency, and with due regard for your privacy and your rights.

Data Controller

The Comitato Italiano One Water, with registered office in Rome (RM), Via di Santa Teresa 23, is the Data Controller, pursuant to Art. 4 of the GDPR, of the processing of your personal data, and hereby informs you of the methods, purposes, and scope of communication and disclosure of your personal data, as well as your rights, in accordance with EU Regulation 679/2016 and applicable personal data protection legislation.

Categories of Data, Purposes, Methods of Processing and Legal Basis

The data processed may include:

• Identification data (first name, surname, place and date of birth, tax identification number);
• Contact details (telephone number, email, residential/domicile address, etc.);
• Professional data (place of employment, employer, specialisation, department);
• Payment data (IBAN, associated credit institution, etc.);
• Dietary preferences or requirements (where requested);
• Personal images (where photo or video recording takes place), which may depict you during the Event, as well as related initiatives.

Your data will be processed by the Controller exclusively for the following purposes:

• a) registration for the Euro-Mediterranean Water Forum, fulfilment of all contractual obligations relating to registration or other commitments aimed at facilitating your participation, through the processing, operational and management activities necessary to execute the contract;
• b) compliance with obligations prescribed by laws, regulations, national and EU legislation, and civil and tax provisions applicable to the Controller's activities and existing agreements;
• c) management of hospitality and travel arrangements, where applicable;
• d) sending, by electronic mail, updates on similar future projects, initiatives and events promoted by the Controller within the same area of interest;
• e) dissemination and/or publication of images on the website, social media profiles or channels relating to events organised and/or promoted by the Controller;
• f) where specific consent is provided, data may also be collected directly by the Controller for potential transfer to exhibitors and third parties, who, as independent data controllers for subsequent processing carried out by them, will act with their own methods and purposes - which may include the dissemination and promotion of informational material relating to activities and services that may be of interest.

Where personal data is collected directly by exhibitors and third parties during the Event or related initiatives, they will always act as independent data controllers, with their own methods and purposes; it is understood that in such cases the Comitato Italiano One Water may only process such personal data pursuant to services specifically commissioned by exhibitors and third parties, or in accordance with the instructions and directions given by those independent controllers.

The legal basis for the processing of data referred to in purpose (e) above is your consent, your legitimate interest - assessed following a proper balancing of your rights and freedoms - and your status as a participant and/or speaker at an event of scientific content, as well as Arts. 96 and 97 of Law 633/1941 and subsequent amendments (Italian Copyright Act). The Controller will take care to process images in which you appear in the background or as part of the broader context, and in any case only for purposes not directly motivated by the image itself. Data processed for these purposes will be retained for a period not exceeding what is strictly necessary for the fulfilment of those purposes and, in any event, for no longer than 24 months.

The legal basis for the processing referred to in purpose (f) is your express consent. Failure to provide consent means your data cannot be used for the purposes set out in point (f), but does not prevent the provision of the service; accordingly, the provision of such data is optional. Data processed for this purpose will be retained, from the date of consent, for a period of 24 months.

All data collected by the Controller will be processed in accordance with the principles of fairness and transparency, using manual, electronic and/or IT-based methods; it will be stored in appropriate paper and/or electronic archives, or on any other suitable medium, and kept under constant oversight with adequate operational procedures and security measures, pursuant to Art. 32 of the Regulation, so as to ensure the security and confidentiality of personal data and prevent data loss, unlawful or improper use, and unauthorised access.

In addition to being processed by persons authorised and/or appointed by the Controller, data may be communicated - solely for the same purposes indicated above - to:

• parties who will process it as external data processors appointed by the Comitato Italiano One Water, who require access to the data in order to carry out specific collaborative tasks on behalf of the Controller, which are necessary or functional to the conduct of its activities (IT service companies, administrative outsourcers, tax, legal and financial consulting firms, professionals);
• parties who will process the data as independent data controllers for the purposes described in this notice, and only to the extent necessary to fulfil contractual obligations and related legal requirements;
• parties who require access to the data for auxiliary or complementary services essential to the relationship (hotels, airlines, etc.);
• public and private entities entitled to access the data by virtue of legal or regulatory provisions or EU legislation, within the limits set out therein.

Your Rights
